The Clip & Rip System is the newest addition to Starborn Industries' hidden deck fastener line. Hidden clips are a popular choice for seamlessly installing grooved deck boards. They are hidden from view leaving you with a beautiful deck surface unmarred with holes and visible screws or nails. Clips are installed along the grooved edge of the board instead of the traditional top-down method of surface screwing or nailing.
Installation
The Clip & Rip Universal Hidden Deck Clip is designed to be easy and quick to install. The clips in this system are collated into strips with preinstalled screws. This makes it simple and easy to place the clip where you want it and screw it down. Without having to grab for loose clips and screws, the installation is quick and efficient. Once a clip is screwed down you just lift the strip to detach the installed clip from the strip and move on to install the next one.

Corrosion Resistant
Many people choose Composite and PVC deck boards because they are easy to maintain and outlast many wood options. Since the plan is for the deck to last decades, the fasteners need to last as well. The Clip & Rip system comes with either type 305 stainless steel screws or type 316 stainless steel screws. 305SS is a perfect option in most outdoor environments. They will easily outlast galvanized or epoxy options and have been known to outlast the life of the deck. Type 316 stainless is used in marine environments or when corrosion is a concern. If the deck will be exposed to de-icing salts, chemicals, salt air or salt water, 316 stainless is the appropriate choice. Installing the deck with the proper fasteners will give you peace of mind that your deck will continue to be stable and safe over its lifetime.
Compatibility
Clip & Rip clips work with most of the popular Composite and PVC deck brands including Trex®, Timbertech®, Fiberon®, MoistureShield® and more! The complete list of compatible deck boards can be found below. It is also appropriate for use with most styles of 5/4 hardwood and thermally modified boards.
