Install in 2 easy steps

2. Tap the Trex® plug in with a hammer.
Plugs are cut from the original Trex deck boards for a perfect match

Must use the Pro Plug screws for proper installation

Tool worked flawlessly, and plugs are exact match of decking boards. Can not even tell where the screws were placed. Would definitely recommend tool and plugs, just advise different screws! We switched halfway through project to different screws.

Pro plug system for trex deck

The tool did not make a hole deep enough to use the plugs, so my husband drilled the hole deeper before inserting the plugs. The tools that came with the plugs were useless!

Owner Response: Thanks for sharing your experience! This brings up an important point. The Pro Plug tool does not make the holes itself but the Pro Plug screw cuts the hole. The head of the screw has a self-cutting head that creates the exact size hole to fit the plugs. The PVC/ Composite tool sets the screw in at the proper depth for the plug to fit. The tool has a clutch mechanism that will automatically stop after the screw is set. Pro plugs are all cut the same size and they match the head size of the Pro Plug screw. In order for the system to install properly, the Pro Plug System screws must be used.

I ordered the metal screw fasteners along with the pro plug kit. Very pleased with the way everything turned out. Those plugs are expensive but it's well worth once you see the difference. Customer service was great as well as quick shipping. Keep up the good work!
